Being a sixth grade math teacher, I feel like I am in constant limbo between elementary and middle school mind thought. I am an elementary teacher at heart and will eventually make the transition down too teach lower grades. In the meanwhile, I am working hard on getting my sixth graders to think for themselves and make sense of what they are learning. I have read Guided math by Laney Sammons and am excited to start Building Mathematical Comprehension.
Has any middle school teacher read this? What are your thoughts?
